SAVE THE ELEPHANTS
Save the Elephants (STE), serves as a long‐term protector of elephants and acts as their voice on an international stage. Since the poaching crisis emerged, STE has led the charge to save elephants both in Kenya and across the world. The organization conducts research into the ecology and behavior of wild elephants by closely following them in their northern Kenya study area in intimate detail. Through tracking elephants in various sites across Africa, STE provides crucial details on the land elephants need in order to thrive and deep insights into the challenges they face to ultimately forge science-based solutions for a harmonious future between elephants and humans.
RAINFOREST TRUST
Rainforests are one of the most important natural resources left on Earth. Rainforest Trust protects the most threatened tropical forests, saving endangered wildlife through local partnerships and community engagement. Through local partnerships, they empower indigenous people to own and steward their own lands while offering them education, training, and economic assistance. Projects are cause-dependent, ongoing, and ranked by economic urgency until completion. Current projects include the Guapiaçu Ecological Reserve in Brazil, the Matsés National Reserve in Peru, and El Jaguar Reserve in Colombia. This highly effective, landscape-based, and community-inclusive model ensures long-lasting results for all the biodiversity within the forests they purchase and protect.
